Charting a Path: My Journey into Data and Tech

Hello, and thank you for visiting! My name is Lisa, and I’m excited to share this space where I delve into the fascinating intersection of data, technology, and the world around us.

A little about me: I’m a Bay Area native, currently based in Fremont, with a professional journey that’s been as diverse as it has been transformative. I began my career in social services and the health industry, where I worked closely with marginalized communities. These experiences instilled in me a deep commitment to mental health, social justice, and advocating for equity.

Eventually, I transitioned into the tech industry, moving to San Jose and taking on my first tech role at a Google call center, supporting Project Fi and Wallet. From there, I gained experience at DJI and later returned to Google as a developer support engineer. During this time, I explored several potential career paths: iOS development, full-stack web development, and data analysis.

Ultimately, data analysis stood out as the most fulfilling. The ability to uncover insights, challenge assumptions, and reveal truths through data resonates deeply with my passion for understanding and addressing systemic issues.

This blog is an extension of that passion. In a world where misinformation often divides us and stigmas persist, I see data as a tool for clarity and progress. My aim is to explore what the data supports, approaching complex questions with curiosity and a commitment to accuracy.
